actiefVSSD: A student union

The VSSD, the Delft's Student Union, protects the interests of all students currently studying in Delft and students in general. The history of the Union goes back to 1887 when a student committee was started to look after students' interests. The VSSD survived the test of time and is nowadays still run by students.

 At the Faculty of Technology Policy and Management (nr. 31 on the TU Delft map) you can apply for language courses Dutch or English. For information and registration deadlines see the general information about the Delftse Methode and the specific information about Dutch courses of the Delftse methode. See the Institute of Technology & Communication for information about the English courses that TU Delft offers to students.

The VSSD organizes many activities, attended by lots of students in an active or passive way. Actions and demonstrations against plans that don't keep students' interests in mind, but also discussion evenings and symposia are part of the VSSD activities. The Union consists of a board (formed by students), personnel and the active members.

The VSSD is located at the Leeghwaterstraat 42, just behind the examination hall at the Drebbelweg 5 and next to the Spaceboxes of the Feldmannweg.

Whoever has questions about studying and living in Delft can drop in for answers. Students from the Helpdesk will be glad to help you with nasty landlords or finances. From Monday and Thursday, 12 till 2pm the Student Helpdesk is open.

If you want all Delft students to know about your event, making a banner to show in the campus area is very effective. To make it easy you can reserve the banner room at the VSSD. You can find letter templates, cloth and paint here, so you can make a good and cheap banner. About four letters fit on a meter of cloth.
